Yay! What a relaxing weekend. I feel like I had a mini vacation. Friday night Josh went to the Yankee game while I cleaned which was oddly relaxing. I didn't mind it that much. Saturday we had Josh's party which turned out really well. I got a little nervous at first because the party started at 2 and I forgot that 2 in barbeque terms means 3/3:30. So no one showed up for the first hour! I was panicking! I had all this food and no people! But lo and behold, a whole ton of them came at once. Food's almost all gone. So yesterday we went to the Jones Beach Air Show. it was incredible! We had such a good time besides being complete idiots and not putting on suntan lotion because "It was only going to be 74 degrees and it will probably be cold on the beach". The result. SUNBURN. Josh has a terrible sunburn on his face, shoulders and arms and I have a terrible burn on my shoulders and my face. This is the second time in my life I have ever gotten a sunburn and it doesn't feel so good. I think we have gone through almost a half of a bottle of Aloe. Samuel thankfully didn't get sunburn. I covered him from head to toe then got him suntan lotion at the beach. He was so good at the air show! He loved it :-)

So after the air show we had my whole family over to cook some of the leftovers and play Mad Gab. That game is so funny. Especially when my mom plays it. If anyone hasn't played it yet, you have to. Very funny. Now this morning no work for me! YAY! The bank is closed. sweet! So I think I'm going to put some major suntan lotion on and bring Samuel outside. It is a perfect day outside and my whole apartment is clean thanks to my mom and husband! So I can truly relax. I am excited. I feel very refreshed and I realize more than ever that I LOVE having people over and I LOVE entertaining. It is my relaxation. I love feeding people. HAHA! Anyway, here are some pictures of the events. Well, mostly of Samuel playing with his friend Patrick at the party. Stupid me forgot my camera for the airshow. I regret that...

Thank you God for good weather on Saturday! I am having Josh's graduation party and I think it's going to be really nice. I am unusually calm about this party. I don't generally freak out before a party like someone else I know **mom**..Oh did I say that? :-) My apartment is clean, I just need to go shopping. I'm not sure how much food to get. Tomorrow Josh is taking Samuel to the park so that I can get done what I have to get done. I made a list, and I basically just need to get food and decorations. I'm going to cook some of it tomorrow night, but other than that, I really think everything will go smoothly. After this party, I officially have nothing extra to do. I won't have to think of anything else except relaxing in my own mommy-busy kind of way. I'm excited to be able to bring Samuel out to the park and to the beach. We're going to have a good time this summer.. Anyone want to join? SUSIE? I mean anyone? Have a fun day!!

This has been a LONG time coming. I would like to honor my husband in this post...He has worked REALLY really hard to get his degree. He now has a Bachelors Degree in Airport Management and he is now a 2nd LT in the Army National Guard. He has managed to go to school, be in the military, be in ROTC, be married & a father, work, and support a family for the past three years. It has not been easy by any means. There were plenty of nights where he was up until all hours of the morning typing a paper, or reading a book. He has worked so hard and really truly deserves this. It's hard to see in the midst of everything the end goal. However, this has all paid off. He is done. So Congrats Josh! I love you!

I have joined Sarah's blog contest and here is my healthy recipe

What you need:
Shrimp (or chicken, shrimp is better chicken is cheaper!)
Peppers
Onions
Green & Yellow Squash
Spinach
Brown Rice
Low-Sodium Soy Sauce

If you don't have a lot of time, get the ziploc steamfresh bags and put the vegetables in for 3-6 minutes depending on how much you put in, cook the brown rice (10 minute bags are wonderful), rinse the shrimp, take the tails off and sautee them with a little fat-free cooking spray in the pan(If the shrimp are frozen, put them in a bowl of cold water, they thaw in about 5 minutes). Wait until they are warm then mix the shrimp in with the vegetables on top of 1 cup of rice and add a little low sodium soy sauce and wala! You pretty much have a great dinner in about 15 minutes..Yummy!

Sheesh Sarah, felt a little scared there at your comment..LoL... I AM UPDATING MY BLOG BEFORE SARAH COMES AND BEATS ME :-) Love ya Sarah :-)

So I love my niece. She is the cutest thing in the whole world and I wish I could post a million pictures of her. She reminds me of a princess. She holds her little head up and has the cutest little button nose that turns slightly up as if to say " I am royalty, treat me as such". TOO CUTE!! I can't stand it. Today I was telling Josh that I should go running..so he said yes..go running even though its raining go running. SO I thought for a minute (Gosh I hope Josh doesn't read this :P ) and said.hhmmmm...run outside in the rain and cold or sneak to my sisters apartment and see my niece. What a toughy. So I looked very devoted today, I was gone for about 35 minutes..LOL DONT TELL! I did run a little bit and was pretty sure I was going to drop dead according to the feeling in my chest. So, I thought I'd do Josh and Samuel a favor and came home :-) How can I go on the Elliptical forever and can't run outside for 5 minutes? So much for that mini marathon I had in mind..LoL...

Anyway, I have to post these pictures I have of Samuel where he is cracking up laughing. I was thinking of things I loved to do when I was a kid, and one of them was making a fort out of blankets and the couch cushion. So I took some chairs since I really didn't want to use the couch and I draped some blankets over them and boy oh boy did Samuel love it! He is at a really great stage right now. I love it. I love him! Anyway, I will post more later (tomorrow) I have to go help my hubby. He had a PT test this morning (Running, sit ups, push ups...etc...) and then tonight he had to do 20 laps in the pool so he is barely walking..hmm could use this to my advantage? So I got him some old man cream...I mean...Aspercreme for his joints.LoL... I can't help it..It makes me laugh! His joints hurt! I shouldn't make fun. The other day I made fun of him because he left his car window open and it rained over night and I really ripped into him about how you should NEVER do that in the summer and low and behold, I did the same thing..Idiot.. Anyway, See ya!

I caught my sweet son standing in his toy bin trying to turn on the TV then as soon as he saw me I got this face...hmm....Looks like trouble to me!

Here are some pictures of Samuel and his daddy tonight :-) They are so cute together. And one picture from last nights ball. No dress shots, sorry, I looked like a stuffed sausage. haha...

I want to thank anyone that asked me for pictures for the apartment- I took some then realized all the little garbage all over the apartment and I did a HUGE clean today. So thank you for the much needed spring cleaning!

Ha ha..SO I am not always the "happiest" shopper around. Actually, I hate it. With a passion. If one thing should be done away with it should be a mall. What a confusing, busy place. If I dont walk in and see exactly what I want, I'm outta there!

Ok so I went to this store and got a dress. I thought it was cute- Pink with pearly things lining the bustline... I thought it was cute. Then my dear dear sister Victoria pointed out that maybe it was a little...well.....busty. Man was it the truth! I didn't even really look at the dress! This seems to be a common problem however since the arrival of my dear son. So now I'm back at square one. I think I'm going to wear a dress that I've had for at least 7 years. Yes, it actually fits, not as loosly as it once did, but it does fit.

I love my son, all you moms out there, we all love our children. However. Those little boogers wreak HAVOC on our bodies. Man oh man. Explain to me how I go to the gym almost EVERY day. I workout an hour each time. 1/2 hour of cardio (maybe that's the problem) then I do a circuit/weight training for a 1/2 hour (and abs). Ok So I do all of that and I still manage to have a tummy and hips. Argh. I really think that it has to do with eating. If I ate exactly how I am "supposed" to, I would be fine. But I love food. I love to cook, I love the tastes of food and I love to taste new food. I'm Italian! So how the heck to I beat the fat? I know this sounds stupid, but something that I really like about Britney Spears is that her body looks post mommy body. She doesn't have the six pack abs like the rest of the stupid stars do. She has a realistic, mommy body. If I could hire a personal trainer to work out with me for 3 hours a day, I would totally do it. So I'm exercising as I'm typing right now. How frustrating! haha...

Thanks for listening to me vent, I'm sure this all sounds stupid and everyone will get a good laugh at my stupidity, but I had to vent. See ya!

P.S. Pictures are a maybe right now, we'll see how they look...

So tonight I'm going with Josh to a military ball! How much fun does that sound like! I'm really excited to be going out! However, Josh reminded me of it YESTERDAY!! Where am I going to get a ball gown? Oh my goodness. It is 7:30Am right now and I though for sure that JcPenney or Macy's would be open but they both don't open until 10! I can't believe it!! So I'm looking online at their dresses and I'm not quite sure what to get. I don't want it to look like a prom dress. I think I'm going for a dress that is to the floor that is more form fitting. Not too form fitting. I'll put a picture up (If I like the way I look) later. I had to explain in detail that you cannot tell a girl the day before a big event. It takes a lot to get pretty :-) I have to go get my nails done too. And I have to bring Samuel to Gymboree and be gone from this house at 4:30 anyone think I'm not going to make it? Yup...me too..Anyway. I'll let you all know how it goes. Love ya!
